Higher Profits with "Green" Technological Innovations

"Green Vessel Best Practices"
Let us show you how to use less fuel, extended oil changes
and reducing wear in your engines and equipment will produce
profits currently overlooked. The less fuel and oil consumed
means a smaller carbon footprint and a cleaner environment.
Never in the history of commercial fishing has vessel and operational costs been higher. Constantly
changing catch quota's, fluctuating fish prices, and limited fishing days at sea basically place an
income limit on the vessel and crew. The days of making more money by staying at sea longer and
working harder are over.
Today's fishing operations have to control their overhead more than ever. Overhead control is the only
place to increase profit within the vessel operation itself. Technology and equipment is available to
increase fuel efficiency perhaps as much as 30% in some vessels. Oil By-Pass Filtration equipment
will reduce the need for oil changes with savings up to 80% and, most certainly, delay costly engine
failures. This same Oil By-Pass Filtration equipment can be installed on hydraulic systems and diesel
fuel.
Reducing liability risks for oil spills is another often overlooked profit center. Federal agencies are on
the lookout more than ever for any overboard discharge violations. As funding of these agencies
continue to tighten they will start to rely on fines to make up for their budget shortfalls. The products are
available so this does not happen to you. Bilge water filters capture any oil before it goes overboard.
Hydraulics can be converted to vegetable based oil that not only will not sheen to avoid any spill
violations and protect against catch contamination.
Unfortunately for the fisherman, fuel efficiency technologies and oil by-pass filtration has been slow to
enter the marketplace. This is so mainly due to marine service companies and the engine
manufacturers. Marine service companies make a lot of money changing oil and service repairs, mostly
caused by inadequate oil and fuel filtration. Engine manufactures have to sell repair parts and
eventually new engines, think about it.
